Aesthetic Rhinoplasty

Transcript

Hello, and welcome to the fourth, and final video in my 4-part video series on nasal-reshaping surgery. In this video - I'll discuss aesthetic rhinoplasty, or surgery done purely to change the shape of the nose. While appearance is the focus - structure still matters. Some cosmetic techniques, if done carelessly, can weaken the nose. For example: over removing cartilage can cause the side walls to collapse or the bridge to sink in. We call this a saddle nose - or inverted-V deformity. This is why I carefully plan each surgery - using computer-modeling, and clinical-photography. As well as detailed conversations to make sure the plan suits the patient's goals and preserves normal nose function. Whether the goal is to breathe better - look better, or both: my message is the same: function and structure are closely connected, and changing one will always affect the other. Most importantly, it should feel natural, last a lifetime - and not look heavily operated on. For example; these images are of patients more than a year after their initial surgery. At West London Rhinoplasty and ENT Clinic: I take the time to educate every patient. We plan together based on your symptoms, your goals and the best available evidence - not assumptions or guesswork. Your nose plays a crucial role in breathing, sleeping, speaking and how you feel about your appearance. And my job is to support you through that journey with care, honesty and precision. Thank you for watching. If you're considering Rhinoplasty - then please get in touch.
